I love sleeping. There are levels to it. With great sleep, comes great life enjoyment.
Here are some stuff that genuinely changed my sleep routine.
Mandatory
- Weighted Blanket - at least 10% of your b.w. and mine is 18lbs with b.w. around ~170lbs. Some people felt better heavier.
- Orange Blue Light Blocking Glasses - get the orange one so everything is orange, my eyes don’t feel as cooked anymore when and after sleeping, genuinely impacts your sleep.
- Govee Smart Lamp
- when winding down, if need brightness, use red on 1% brightness for least melatonin disruption, set timer to turn off. otherwise, pitch black.
- when waking up, don’t use alarm, use natural light. I program my Govee to turn light for 10 minutes incrementally from brightness 0% to 100%. best no-sound waking up method fr.
- Kindle - your no blue-light consumption device
Me specific
- 3M Micropore Surgical Tape - basically a sleeping tape but cheaper since it’s in a roll. I sometimes breathe through mouth, so doing this just max the air in-out through nose.
- Loop Quiet 2 Ear Plugs - Ever since moving into a noisier area, I have to sleep with this to block out car noises, very much recommended
- LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask - I have dry ahh lips and marinating my lips is super good
- Kitsch Weighted Satin Sleep Mask - weighed blanket for your eyes, I like that heavy feel that just sits on my eyes. Con is only for back sleeping, weird if side sleeping.
- Air Humidifer - sometimes if the weather is cooked, air needs to be more moisted to prevent nasal congestion
General Tips
- 3-2-1 Sleeping Method from Dan Go
- 3 hours before no eat before sleeping
- 2 hours before no drink so you don’t go pee pee midnight
- 1 hour before no bluelight device
- Don’t think too hard before sleeping, thus 1 hour before sleeping kindle time is good
- Have some plan to do tomorrow mo so no overnight stress
- 8 hours of sleep yessir
